Stuck

I'm stuck.

When I don't have work, it's harder to get to my quota of over 1,667 words a day, because I think I have all day at it. Pressure and deadlines really can get the words flowing.

This is where I am: Lawinlit is leaving the academy after her thirteenth birthday, because her mother demanded her presence home. Someone named Buan will accompany her as secret protector, but how to deflect others' suspicion? And what happens in the four or so months before then? (Yes, it is hard to understand without knowing the whole story, but that's me so far.)

Buan and Lawinlit have met. They become friends. Buan's sixteenth birthday pass. He "graduates" and goes to Bukiran to establish his identity. Lawinlit is filled with remorse. What does she do in the remaining time that is worth mentioning?

The plot thickens like soup. And my stomach rumbles.
